Karim Benhameurlaine is a Managing Director and leader of Alvarez & Marsal’s Healthcare and Life Sciences practice in Dubai. He brings over 20 years of experience in global strategic transformation. His main areas of concentration include delivering enterprise-wide strategy, operational restructuring, finance transformation and performance improvement. Mr. Benhameurlaine has worked with clients in the Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Benhameurlaine’s notable achievements include leading various commercial and operational due diligence projects for private equity firms and sovereign wealth funds. Additionally, he has led a vision-driven approach of comprehensive advanced data analytics and corporate-wide strategy to deliver transformational initiatives across multinational organizations, including the design and set-up of the National Healthcare Command Center.

Most recently at A&M, Mr. Benhameurlaine led the turnaround of a tertiary care hospital in Saudi Arabia; managed a cost optimization and growth strategy activation for a long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation operational efficiencies in the United Arab Emirates; and developed an accountable care organization strategic activation plan for a healthcare system.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Benhameurlaine spent 17 years with GE Healthcare Partners, where he most recently served as Managing Partner. Previously, he spent several years with NESMA Advanced Technologies, where he most recently served as General Manager of Strategy and Operations.

Mr. Benhameurlaine earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a BBA from Applied Science University. He is a changed management certified, Six Sigma and Lean coach.
