Alvarez & Marsal Expands and Enhances Global e-Discovery Offerings

Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has strengthened its global e-Discovery capabilities in Hong Kong and Brazil with the cloud-based RelativityOne offering. The firm also launched e-Discovery services in Switzerland. The expansion and enhancement of e-Discovery offerings reflect A&M’s commitment to grow its forensic service capabilities with robust and effective tools that meet market dynamics and client demands.

In Hong Kong, A&M utilizes RelativityOne’s unlimited data capacity cloud storage system to service ever-growing case sizes and efficiently collaborate on multi-jurisdictional cases in Asia and beyond.

A&M also launched e-Discovery offerings in Switzerland by establishing Relativity on-premises (server) in Zurich, which followed the launch of e-Discovery services in Korea in 2019. A&M has had long-established e-Discovery services in China, Germany, the UAE, the U.K. and the U.S.

“As fraud, litigation and investigations continue to become more prevalent and sophisticated with increasing risk, we respond with leadership, action and results,” said Mark Kindy, Managing Director and global leader of A&M’s Forensic Technology Services. “The expansion of our e-Discovery offerings in Hong Kong, Brazil, Korea and Switzerland enhances our growing global offerings in line with rising demand from our clients for innovative technology.”

Davin Teo, Managing Director and Head of A&M’s Forensic Technology practice in Asia, adds, “No case is too small or too large for us as RelativityOne enhances our data capability. We are now able to serve our clients more effectively and efficiently as our global legal team can collaborate seamlessly around the clock. Additionally, the mobile app helps us to meet urgent client deadlines and provide quick review solutions.”

Some of the game-changing utilities of RelativityOne include the capability to sift through and identify crucial information from common chat applications, such as WhatsApp and WeChat.

The roll out of RelativityOne in Brazil also highlights A&M’s continued expansion in Latin America and the firm’s commitment to provide sophisticated e-Discovery and investigation services in the region.

“The expansion of our e-discovery offering with the roll out of RelativityOne in Brazil is key to delivering innovative forensic technology support for litigation and dispute matters and cross-border investigations in Brazil and the broader Latin America region,” says Marcos Ganut, Managing Director and leader of the Forensic Technology and Capital Projects and Infrastructure practice in Brazil.
