Christina Barakett

Ms. Barakett has recently held interim CFO roles in private equity owned high-growth software businesses, leading finance transformation, including finance organisation restructure, optimising systems, processes and controls. As interim CFO, she has led financial planning including P&L and cash flow performance management and mid-term operational excellence transformation plans targeting EBITDA margin improvement to position the business for exit.
Previously at A&M, Ms. Barakett supported the CFO of global businesses to develop their finance functions and business planning. She worked with a $2 billion medical devices business to transform FP&A function and shared services across its 26 international markets; an $800 million top-line private hospital operator to develop its business plan and cash flow during ownership change; and a $1 billion technology services business to optimise cost post private equity acquisition, including a “rapid results” review of cost and programme setup that delivered €60 million in annualised savings within seven months.
Additionally, Ms. Barakett held operating model transformation roles, including supporting the CFO and CHRO of a $1 billion top-line global business on a target operating model transformation across all functions (excluding sales) to define effective local/regional/global structures, optimise outsourcing, and deliver 25% people-cost reduction. Ms. Barakett also supported the newly formed Global Business Services (GBS) division of a plc as it went live, driving reduction of cost through corporate function demand management, outsourcing, and efficiency across finance, IT, property management and other corporate functions transferred to the GBS.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Barakett helped the pension fund leadership team at Barclays Bank build a new finance team to oversee in-house management and administration of £18 billion in pension fund assets.
Ms. Barakett earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce from McGill University. She is a Chartered Accountant in Canada, qualifying at Deloitte. A British and Canadian national, Ms. Barakett is fluent in English and French.
