Christopher Powell

With more than 17 years of experience in due diligence, Mr. Powell brings deep expertise in evaluating a company's key financial and operational business drivers; the quality and sustainability of forecast earnings; and cash flows and potential changes in a company's working capital requirements. He has advised clients across a range of industries, including travel and leisure, consumer goods, business services, software, education and healthcare.
At A&M, Mr. Powell has worked on financial due diligence projects for many private equity sponsors, including PAI Partners, H.I.G. Capital, Inflexion Private Equity and Tenzing Private Equity.
Mr. Powell’s notable transactions include PAI Partners’ acquisition of HKA; Tenzing Private Equity’s sale of CitNow to Livingbridge; H.I.G. Capital’s acquisitions of Aspire Pharma, Morningside Healthcare and Morningside Pharmaceuticals; the sale of Astrak to Inflexion Private Equity; PAI Partners’ acquisitions of Addo Food Group and Winterbotham Darby; EQT’s acquisition of RIMES; Inflexion Private Equity’s acquisition Times Higher Education; First Reserve’s acquisition of Weir Flow Control (now Trillium); HolidayTaxis sale to Hotelbeds; Genstar Capital’s acquisition of CRF Health; Duke Street’s acquisition of Great Rail Journeys; Silverfleet Capital’s acquisition of Riviera Travel; the sale of Teamsport to Duke Street; the sale of MyOptique to Essilor International; H.I.G. Capital’s sale of Zmarta Group to Bauer Media Group; and LDC's sale of New World Trading Company to Graphite Capital.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Powell spent more than three years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Consumer and Industrial Products and Services team, where his audit clients included Burberry, Priory Healthcare and Samsung UK.
Mr. Powell earned a bachelor's degree in economics from The University of Nottingham. He is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
