Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has further expanded its team in the Middle East through the appointment of Alaa Oumansour as a Senior Director, working in A&M’s Performance Improvement practice in Dubai.

Mr. Oumansour brings more than 15 years of operational and turnaround advisory experience. His primary areas of expertise are in performance improvement, strategy formulation, and cost optimization, particularly in the areas of sales & marketing, operations, technology and finance. He specializes in the Telecoms, IT, Media and FMCG sectors, where he has advised large multinational clients ranging in turnover from US$100m to over US$100 billion.

Mr. Oumansour is particularly experienced in the Telecommunications sector, having spent time  with Nokia in Sweden, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia and Europe, before moving into advisory with Booz & Company (now Strategy &), in the firm’s Communications, Media and Technology Practice. With Booz and Company, Mr. Oumansour was based in San Francisco and Dubai, and advised clients across North America, the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

Mr. Oumansour holds an MBA from London Business School and a M.Sc. in engineering from the French Grande Ecole.
