Kevin McMahon is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Houston. With more than 25 years of management and consulting experience involving complex business and performance issues, Mr. McMahon brings practical hands-on experience in large-scale organizational change, organizational design, talent management, performance and rewards, and merger integration and carve-out work.

Mr. McMahon has worked across a diverse set of industry sectors including exploration and production (E&P), oil field services, chemicals, engineering and construction, aerospace, computer manufacturing, software, and financial services.

His accomplishments include conducting organizational assessments for companies leading to recommendations relative to new structures, new processes and procedures, and enabling technology; designing and implementing a LEAN program office within a large oil and gas company to include organizational structure, job profiles, certification paths and sourcing candidates to fill key program roles; working with the CEO and SVP of HR to design and implement standards for compensation design, performance management, recruitment and selection and overall talent management strategies; serving as interim human resources management, responsible for operating, managing and transforming core components of the HR function, including new job roles, policies and procedures, a new HRIS system and staffing; and serving as lead PMO/CMO for several large transformation efforts.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. McMahon spent over four years as Global Director of Organizational Development for BMC Software. Previously, he served as a Senior Manager in the Change Management practice of a Big Five firm.

Mr. McMahon earned a bachelor’s degree from Southwestern University and a master's degree in industrial organizational psychology from St. Mary's University.
