With the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic becoming less prominent in the media and daily life, and the economy generally showing a continuous upward trend, we wanted to take a look into the financial performance of the European automotive industry over the last few years.
Based on the quarterly financial data of 70 European automotive suppliers (mainly Tier 1) and 20 European original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), we analysed how the industry developed between 2017 and the first quarter of 2021 and which key observations can be derived from the data.
