Already under considerable pressure to survive, colleges and universities now face a significant challenge as they try to operate in the face of a global pandemic. Even before COVID-19, smaller colleges, in particular, were struggling to survive, and many won’t.
In this new environment, institutions of higher learning will need to focus on cash flow, deal with lost on-campus revenue due to remote learning and make hard decisions about repurposing facilities and assets as they continue to service their debt loads.
These and other related topics were discussed on a panel that A&M Managing Director Rob Hershan participated in at the annual 2020 Turnaround Management Association’s TMA Impact event, hosted virtually this year before a global audience.
