Miami – Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLC, an affiliate of leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal, has augmented its dedicated Private Client Services group.  Joining A&M Taxand as part of this expansion are seasoned tax experts Erik Christianson and Ambrosio Gonzalez, both Senior Directors based in Miami.

Mr. Christianson, who brings more than 17 years of experience, has a wealth of expertise in ensuring tax compliance for high net worth individuals, trusts, estates and gifts, partnerships and S corporations. As part of his private client experience, Mr. Christianson has extensive tax and estate planning knowledge for both U.S and non-U.S. persons. His area of expertise includes navigating differences in tax rules to ensure alignment between the personal and business aspects of clients’ assets and tax procedures.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Christianson worked with high net worth individual clients in the Personal Financial Services (PFS) group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and before that, in the PFS group at Arthur Andersen LLP.  Mr. Christianson earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting at the University of Connecticut and currently holds a CPA license from the state of New Hampshire.

With more than 20 years of experience in international tax consulting, Mr. Gonzalez has advised private clients on implementing international tax structures and income tax analysis.  He has spent the bulk of his career advising international high net worth individuals and families, and brings significant expertise in establishing cross border structures.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Gonzalez was one of the founding partners of Taxand Venezuela. In this role, he advised a client base comprised of subsidiaries of U.S. and EU multinational companies. At A&M, Mr. Gonzalez’s role will be focused on creating cross border U.S. in-bound structures for LATAM private clients and serving high net worth families investing in both the U.S. and Europe.

Mr. Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Universidad de Carabobo in Valencia, Venezuela.
