London – Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (“A&M”), has appointed Devean George as a Managing Director, based in London. Mr. George joins A&M’s Global Transaction Advisory Group, bringing over 25 years’ experience in advising private equity and corporate clients on transactions using tech-enabled data analytics and intelligence.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. George led buy-side and sell-side projects as a member of PwC UK’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team, providing financial due diligence supplemented with advanced data analytics. His experience spans a wide range of technology businesses, including tech-enabled media platforms, tech enabled business services, data centres and software companies. He has worked on over 150 transactions in Europe, the US, India and the Middle East.

Mr. George’s hire will enhance A&M’s integrated client proposition and further supplement our already deep expertise in the software and technology sector. He will be responsible for creating and delivering practical due diligence solutions for both private equity funds and corporate clients facing increasingly complex challenges.

This appointment comes at a time of growth for A&M’s Global Transaction Advisory Group in Europe, which has welcomed nine senior hires in recent months. This includes Nick Lynch, who joins as a Senior Director in London from KPMG, bringing 10 years of financial diligence experience on both buy- and sell-side transactions. Mr. Lynch is joined in London by Senior Director Parm Dhillon from Deloitte, and Directors Hien Vo, from KPMG and Irina Gibson, formerly BKD and PwC. Ghislain de Seze joins as Managing Director in Paris along with Senior Directors Violaine Saint Romas, Kossi Aglamey-Pap and Director, Louis Darrieus. Despite the current market uncertainty A&M remains committed to hiring the best and brightest transaction advisory professionals and intends to continue to add top talent to its team in the months ahead.
