London - Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has expanded its reach across the U.K. with the appointment of Wayne Brown as Senior Director in its Financial Industry Advisory Service’s team. Mr. Brown will be based in the Leeds office and support clients across the North of England. The move marks A&M’s commitment to providing coverage for clients nationwide, and follows a series of new senior hires for the practice, with Bert Schouws, Amo Chahal and Gwen Van Tunen recently joining the team.

Mr. Brown brings more than 25 years of experience in retail banking, business transformation, digital improvement, and operational efficiency. In his new role, he will be responsible for helping retail banks, challenger banks and building societies across the UK, with a focus on the North of England. The move reflects changes in the financial services landscape, with many companies setting up operations in hubs around the country, such as Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.
