London –  Alvarez & Marsal Taxand, LLP (A&M Taxand), an affiliate of leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), has strengthened its tax advisory practice with the appointment of Jason Clatworthy, who joins as a Managing Director and will serve as global lead for the firm’s Infrastructure Investors service offering. The appointment reflects A&M Taxand’s continued growth at a time when tax rules, and regulations are in flux, and clients are increasingly seeking experienced tax experts free from audit conflicts.

Mr. Clatworthy will be based in London and will work alongside A&M’s senior practice leaders including Marvin Rust, who joined the firm last year as Head of A&M Taxand Europe. Mr. Clatworthy brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate and international tax with a focus on infrastructure, private equity, and financial services clients.

Prior to joining A&M Taxand, Mr. Clatworthy was a Partner at Deloitte in London where he founded and led the infrastructure investors team since its inception in 2006. He was also the Tax Lead for the European M&A practice and global Infrastructure and Capital Projects group, advising infrastructure funds and direct investors on transactions across a range of asset classes.
