On November 2, 2017, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta granted an order appointing Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. as receiver and manager (the “Receiver”) without security, of all of the current and future assets, undertakings and properties of every nature and kind whatsoever, and wherever situated of Reid-Built Homes Ltd., 1679775 Alberta Ltd., Reid Worldwide Corporation, Builder's Direct Supply Ltd., Reid Built Homes Calgary Ltd., Reid Investments Ltd. and Reid Capital Corp. (collectively, the “Companies”), including all proceeds thereof.
Update – March 21, 2018
On March 21, 2018, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta granted an order (the “Receivership Extension Order”) appointing Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc., as the receiver of the current and future assets, properties, and undertaking of 1852512 Alberta Ltd. on the same terms and with the same powers as the Receiver was appointed pursuant to the Receivership Order, but subject to the terms of the Receivership Extension Order. Update – January 22, 2018
On January 22, 2018, the Receiver commenced a sales process seeking offers to purchase the Receiver’s interest in certain of the Companies’ assets. A copy of the Invitation for Offers and Non-disclosure Agreement can be obtained from the Sales Process section of the website at the following link.
