Mohammad Yadollahi

With more than 18 years of experience, Mr. Yadollahi has served as a technical testifying expert in major international arbitrations and has produced reports as the named expert witness in issues of disputed design liability (including duty of skill and care), specifications defects, materials and workmanship deficiencies, project management issues, alleged breach of health and safety regulations/protocols, and poor risk management. He has provided expert services for disputed projects with values of more than $1 billion.
Mr. Yadollahi’s expertise includes forensic civil and structural engineering, buildability (buildable design), project management, and execution. He has experience in design and construction of various infrastructure projects, including ports and maritime facilities, highways, and railways. Having worked as project director, project manager, and design engineer on infrastructure projects worldwide, his combined engineering design and construction management skills enable him to deliver balanced opinions on the performance of parties involved in construction projects. Mr. Yadollahi’s construction legal knowledge, and hands-on international project experience, let him effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences within a legal framework.
Mr. Yadollahi earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a master’s degree in structural engineering jointly from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow, and a master’s degree in construction law and dispute resolution from King’s College London. He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure. Mr. Yadollahi has completed the Legal Experience Training Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence (LETAPAEWE) and is bilingual in English and Farsi.
