Vadim Tsysin is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement Group, specializing in business process improvement, operational due diligence and post deal merger integration services, as well as overall M&A related and capital markets advisory.

With more than 20 years of transactional experience Mr. Tsysin has executed 100+ transactions ranging in size from $1.2 million to $16 billion. Mr. Tsysin has a substantial cross border deal experience with executed deals in Brazil, Mexico, Russia, UK & Australia.

Most recently, while at A&M, Mr. Tsysin has been involved in various Merger Integration and Performance Improvement activities. Engagements Mr. Tsysin typically is involved in vary in scope and duration but primarily center around Merger advisory, Integration execution, Carve Out execution, Pre-acquisition synergy assessments, Operational due diligence, and Integration / separation planning.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Tsysin spent six years with DeVry Education Group in Chicago, where he most recently served as Head of M&A, Integration and Capital Markets. In this position Mr. Tsysin directed corporate M&A related activities, worked with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on strategy initiatives and co-led various operational assignments. He executed nine acquisitions and integrations ($600 million value) – seven international (Russia, UK, St. Maarten, Brazil) – and managed disposition and carve out of three businesses no longer aligned with DeVry Group strategy. Mr. Tsysin was also assigned key turnaround responsibility for three separate underperforming business units to prepare for divestiture.

Prior to that Mr. Tsysin worked on Wall Street at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an investment banker focusing on corporate finance and capital markets advisory in the packaging industry. Prior to joining BAML, Mr. Tsysin served as an M&A consultant in post-merger integration practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP

Mr. Tsysin earned his Masters in Business Administration from University of Michigan, Ross School of business. He also holds Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Roosevelt University. Mr. Tsysin graduated from both institutions with distinction. In addition, Mr. Tsysin is a licensed CPA in Illinois since 1998 and holds Series 7 & 63 designation. He is also fluent in Russian.
