Tushar Bansal
Mr. Bansal’s notable project experience prior to joining A&M includes: an integrated supply and trading analytics transformation for an Indian downstream company, including defining and driving a holistic trading analytics implementation program; optimization of a European refinery by identifying initiatives to uplift $50 million in EBITDA through commercial excellence; M&A refining and trading, including supporting a major European integrated oil and gas client from global downstream and petrochemicals; set-up of a major Asian greenfield refinery, including a pre-feasibility study, gap assessment, process design, and detailed bankable feasibility study; a two-year supply chain transformation for a Southeast Asian refiner; and a digital predictive analytics implementation for another Southeast Asian refiner, developing predictive analytics for tradable market instruments in oil and gas trading using advanced analytics to optimize hedging.
Previously, Mr. Bansal worked for EYP and Consistency as a Senior Expert/Senior Principal, supporting the development of the Energy, Chemicals and Renewables Management Consulting practice. Prior to that, he worked for four years in McKinsey & Company’s Global Oil & Gas (O&G) practice as a deep industry expert in trading and downstream. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Bansal worked in oil trading front offices (Shell Trading, Koch Trading) and oil and gas industry consulting (Wood Mackenzie, FGE), covering crude and all oil products. At FGE, he led the downstream Asia team, producing short- and long-term forecasts for S&D balances, arbitrage and prices, liquefied natural gas contract negotiations, and market outlook scenarios, and presenting these to C-level executives around the world.
Mr. Bansal holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He is an experienced, prominent public speaker at forums, workshops, and international conferences, and is regularly quoted by the media.
