Trevor Phillips

Mr. Phillips has analyzed claims of property value diminution and loss of use and enjoyment based on environmental impacts to groundwater, soil, surface water and air for all major property types. He has also analyzed real property damage claims stemming from alleged odor, dust, floods, mold, water damage, construction defects and structural damage caused by seismic events and breach of contract. Mr. Phillips brings significant experience addressing class certification issues and damages in class action matters.
Mr. Phillips’ valuation experience includes services for financial reporting, bankruptcy proceedings and transaction due diligence. He also manages the appraisal process for clients by identifying qualified appraisers, managing the quality of reports, assessing the credibility of value opinions and evaluating compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Phillips served as Director with Navigant Consulting. Previously, he served as Senior Manager with Deloitte and as a regional leader of the real estate and environmental damages practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Furthermore, Mr. Phillips was co-chair of the Experts Subcommittee for the American Bar Association Section of Litigation Real Estate, Condemnation, and Trust Litigation Committee; a mayor-appointed member of the City of Houston’s Land Redevelopment Committee, supporting the city’s Brownfields Redevelopment Program through technical assistance, fund-raising and public education initiatives; and Real Property Chair and Board member for the Houston Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.
Mr. Phillips earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and building technology from Cardiff University, U.K., and a master's degree in real estate from the University of Florida. He holds professional designations with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the American Society of Appraisers, the CCIM Institute and the Counselors of Real Estate.
