Mr. Kon has a strong track record in deal origination, particularly leveraging business succession and activist situations. He has extensive advisory experience in M&A, including management buyouts for listed companies, and in formulating corporate value enhancement strategies and real estate securitization.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kon held senior roles at leading Japanese financial institutions, including Nomura Securities, a Big Four–affiliated advisory firm, and a Japanese consulting company. Throughout his career, he has specialized in M&A, supporting both corporate clients and financial sponsors in domestic and cross-border transactions.

During his tenure at Nomura Securities, Mr. Kon was engaged in M&A advisory as well as equity and debt underwriting. He led transactions in the materials and energy, industrials and automotive, and consumer and retail sectors, primarily. In addition to traditional M&A, he has deep expertise in shareholder activism, having supported numerous public companies in both offensive and defensive situations.
