Suzanne R. Thompson is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations in San Francisco. She specializes in providing financial and accounting expert analyses and testimony in federal and state courts and private arbitrations. Her primary areas of concentration are damage analyses arising from business disputes as well as general business and litigation consulting.

With more than 25 years of accounting and litigation experience, Ms. Thompson has assisted counsel and corporate clients with matters arising from breach of contract, M&A disputes, intellectual property infringement and misappropriation, wage loss, internal investigations, and other commercial disputes. 

Ms. Thompson has experience providing expert witness testimony and performing consulting roles. She  has worked with clients across various industries, including technology, consumer products, medical products, manufacturing, e-commerce, real estate, hospitality, and higher education.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Thompson spent 10 years as a Vice President with TM Financial Forensics, LLC, where she focused on commercial damages, intellectual property, forensic accounting investigations, and other litigation support. Previously, she was with Navigant Consulting, Inc., Tucker Alan, Inc., and Deloitte.

Ms. Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from the University of Southern California. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of California, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Ms. Thompson is also Certified in Financial Forensics. She is active in the California Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Forensic Services Section where she has held several leadership positions.
