Susan Stinson

With more than 30 years of experience, Ms. Stinson has led teams supporting ultra-high net worth, multigenerational family wealth with a focus on strategic client service models, trust operations and technology, and regulatory requirements. She led the due diligence efforts for the sale of multiple trust companies, and built the “too big to fail” resolution plan for the wealth management Americas division of a global financial institution including strategic, operational and implementation plans.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Stinson spent five years with UBS Wealth Management Americas in New York and Wilmington, DE where she served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer/Board Member of the UBS Trust Company NA. Faced with regulatory challenges, Ms. Stinson developed and implemented updated operations and controls to position the firm to be sold, and developed the Wealth Management Americas resolution approach including the relevant playbooks to move $1 trillion of assets.
Ms. Stinson spent more than 20 years with Wilmington Trust/M&T Bank serving as Chief Administrative Officer of the Wealth Management Business, Head of the Trust and Custody Services Department and Information Technology Division Manager. To support the acquisition by M&T bank, she built client service models, justified and converted underlying trust and investment systems and developed cross-sell strategies between the two firms. For Wilmington Trust, she supported business acquisitions and divestitures, staging the data rooms with all necessary due diligence materials and presenting the pitchbooks. For the Wealth Management business, Ms. Stinson was responsible for building strategic vision and executing plans for the underlying trust/investment platforms, middle and back-office trust operations, compliance/risk management, fiduciary tax and brokerage. Ms. Stinson began her career at IBM Corporation as a Systems Engineer where she served in client facing roles.
Ms. Stinson earned a master’s degree in business from Drexel University and bachelor’s degree in computer science and management from LaSalle University. She serves as a Board Member for the LPGA Foundation, and Board Member for Easterseals of Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
