Steve Henshaw

Mr. Henshaw’s notable assignments include advising on complex cross-border supply chain arrangements; successfully negotiating with HMRC on the VAT liability of a range of goods and services; supporting clients on optimizing their partial exemption position; and advising on all indirect tax aspects of M&A.
Most recently, Mr. Henshaw was responsible for leading the VAT input into due diligence and structuring projects, whilst continuing to advise a number of blue-chip clients. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, including consumer products, healthcare, logistics, e-commerce, betting and gaming and business services.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Henshaw spent 25 years with Ernst & Young in London, where he most recently served as a VAT Director. During that time, he led the EY Private VAT team, provided post-deal support for private equity portfolio companies and supported numerous corporates dealing with challenges from HMRC.
Mr. Henshaw earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business economics from the University of Hull. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser (U.K. CIOT).
