Simon Weil

Mr. Weil advises on corporate and partnership tax matters and has extensive experience in private equity and strategic sell- and buy-side transactions. He also performs tax due diligence and advises clients on structure and cash-tax modeling.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Weil spent two years at Exxon Mobil Corporation. He focused on tax planning and tax controversy matters, researching and modeling the tax impact of various transactions on the company’s financial position. Mr. Weil also assisted in leading the day-to-day management of a multibillion-dollar federal tax refund lawsuit.
Previously, Mr. Weil worked in the Transaction Advisory Group (Transaction Tax) practice at EY, LLP, where he focused on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions for private equity and corporate clients.
Mr. Weil earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a J.D. from Loyola University in New Orleans and an LL.M in taxation from New York University School of Law. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed (inactive) in the state of Louisiana and a member of the Louisiana State Bar
