Shiwali Tenner

With more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Tenner advises leaders and owners of companies in all stages of their lifecycle, from start-ups to mature organizations. She specializes in identifying growth drivers of the future as well as building and reorganizing companies and their processes around those growth drivers to produce quick, meaningful, and sustainable change.
Notably, Ms. Tenner assisted in developing a sales operating model and related processes for a multibillion-dollar company in the renewable energy sector to manage growth in an increasingly crowded and uncertain market. She also developed a go-to-market model and associated organizational design for a fast-growing kitchenware company as the company changed its strategy to be a brand-driven company rather than a retailer-driven, direct-import company.
In addition, Ms. Tenner led the integration of a global company worth over $3 billion. She assisted in developing the operating model best suited for the complexity of the company, while delivering on synergy targets. Additionally, she led efforts to reorganize several functions to develop a high-functioning, agile, customer-centric, and data-driven organization.
Previously, Ms. Tenner assisted in identifying $20 million cost savings at a multimillion-dollar power tools manufacturer. The team reviewed the product line profitability and identified product line rationalization opportunities; aligned logistics and distribution teams; identified the inside sales model to serve long-tail customers; and refocused new product development to identify cost savings opportunities. Before that, Ms. Tenner assisted a multibillion-dollar food ingredient company with a post-acquisition merger. She recommended that the organizational structure preserve the competitive advantages of both companies and reduce people cost by 10% by optimizing cost to serve.
Ms. Tenner earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
