Mr. Viswanathan brings expertise in consumer, traditional and digital/e-commerce channels and has led business transformation across several generations and formats of retail. Having done business in 50+ countries, he is widely recognized for creating new core business and go-to-market models across diverse global geographies and as one of the most global and versatile leaders in the industry.
Additionally, Mr. Viswanathan has worked with clients across India, the U.S., Russia (covering Eastern Europe), Vietnam, the Philippines and Singapore (covering ASEAN, the Middle East and Africa). He understands the importance of corporate social responsibility and brings an unwavering commitment to give back to society and drive ESG initiatives.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Viswanathan spent more than 33 years with Procter & Gamble, where he most recently served as E-Commerce Head and Senior Vice President, Asia-Pacific Middle East and Africa in Singapore. He was responsible for building the e-commerce ecosystem and leading this business for P&G in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa across all markets and categories. Mr. Viswanathan also served as a key member of the Global Digital Commerce Board & Network and delivered excellent results with four times the sales and two-and-a-half times the profitability in three years with exceptional leadership share growths.
Previously at Procter & Gamble, Mr. Viswanathan served as Regional Head and Senior Vice President, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam; President and General Manager, Philippines; Vice President, Asia Development Markets/Customer Business Development, ASEAN; and Country Manager, Vietnam. He brings strong board experience as Chairman/Vice Chairman/member of the boards of Procter & Gamble in Vietnam, Philippines and Malaysia and was elected as Board member to Amcham in the Philippines.
Mr. Viswanathan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Stephens College, Delhi and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
