Sebastien Declercq

Mr. Declercq focuses on large-scale, CEO-driven business transformations, including post merger integration, strategic alliances, E2E digital transformation, distribution strategies and corporate efficiency. His relevant project experience includes the transformation and turnaround of a leading retail and wealth management bank; transformation of distribution models in retail banking and set up of remote advisory platforms; and a new omnichannel servicing and operating model for a leading retail bank.
Additionally, Mr. Declercq has led the set-up of multiple strategic partnerships and joint ventures in payments, insurance, private banking, telco and consumer credit; turnaround and post-merger integration of newly acquired retail banks in France and Europe; launch of the European Payment Initiative; turnaround and strategic plan of a leading P&C insurer; transformation of the French Post Office and creation of the Postbank (La Banque Postale); M&A growth strategy and post merger integration for a leading European payment player; transformation program of a leading European airline; governance and corporate center optimization for a leading French utility; and end-to-end process optimization and digitization.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Declercq was Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Oliver Wyman. Previously, he founded Montabor, a strategy consulting boutique, and spent 20 years at Kearney, where he was the President and Managing Partner of Kearney in France and a member of the global board of directors.
Mr. Declercq earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from ICAM in France and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. A French national, he is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
