Rodrigo Kurayama is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLC in São Paulo.

Mr. Kurayama has extensive experience in international tax, transactional taxes, M&A, compliance and tax planning. He has worked on corporate transformation, reorganization and supply chain projects, focusing on identifying and implementing tax efficiencies and performance improvements in complex and special situations.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kurayama worked for 16 years with KPMG in São Paulo, serving most recently as Director of the International Tax, M&A and Transfer Pricing practice. While there, he participated in two exchange programs in the United States, one in New York and one in Miami, where he was an active participant on the KPMG Brazilian Desk in the U.S.

Mr. Kurayama earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo and a degree in law from Universidade Paulista (UNIP). A certified accountant (CRC-SP), he is fluent in Portuguese and English.
