Robert Grosvenor is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes and Investigations practice in London. He leads Alvarez & Marsal’s Global Privacy and Data Compliance services and brings more than 20 years of experience advising on global and cross-border privacy, secrecy, data governance, records management and related data regulation requirements. 

With deep European and international regulatory and legal knowledge, Mr. Grosvenor has developed strategic programs and led international compliance projects for major organisations. He has advised clients across a range of industries, including healthcare and life sciences, financial services, technology, media, and retail and manufacturing.

Mr. Grosvenor has significant experience designing, delivering and maintaining global privacy programs including major GDPR readiness programs and BCR implementations involving strategy, governance, risk management, operational compliance and project management. He has supported clients with the compliant management of data as part of their digital transformation and data strategy initiatives including AI governance. His areas of expertise and interest include the application of digital ethics in the information economy and management of privacy, ethics and corporate social responsibility across the global digital supply chain.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Grosvenor spent nine years with Promontory (an IBM company), serving most recently as a Managing Director, in charge of the Global Privacy and Data Protection practice. Previously, he worked at Deloitte in London and Brussels for 13 years. Mr. Grosvenor started his career as a stagiaire with the European Commission’s DG Competition.

Mr. Grosvenor earned a bachelor’s degree in English and European Laws from the University of Essex. He completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Nottingham Law School and is a member of the Computer and Laws Society. Mr. Grosvenor is certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) with the CIPM (Privacy Manager), CIPT (Privacy Technologist), and CIPP/Europe designations.
