Richard Wu

Mr. Wu works primarily with underperforming companies and has been involved in all aspects of the restructuring process. He has served as restructuring officer and interim chief financial officer; advised clients and boards both in and out of court; and represented both debtor and creditor constituencies.
Recently, Mr. Wu served as restructuring advisor to a $2 billion radiation oncology operator in its Chapter 11 proceedings. Mr. Wu’s other notable restructuring cases include GTT Communications, a $2 billion publicly traded communications company; PES, a $2 billion oil refinery in North America; Country Fresh, a $500 million leading provider of fresh-cut fruit and meal kits; Roadrunner Transportation, a $2 billion asset-light supply chain solutions provider; The Brock Group, a $1 billion premier industrial specialty maintenance and capital services provider of scaffolding, insulation and coating services; Layne Christensen, an $800 million diversified construction company; MModal, a $400 million medical transcription company; the secured lender of Pilgrim’s Pride, a $7 billion poultry company; a $230 million distressed freight and logistics company; a $320 million trucking and warehousing company; the secured lending group of Cagle’s Inc., a $310 million poultry processor; and the secured lenders to a $250 million distressed dairy operator.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Wu served as a Senior Analyst with a multi-billion-dollar institutional lender, where he was responsible for credit risk analysis. Before that, he worked as an Analyst with a multi-billion-dollar hedge fund, performing financial due diligence on distressed companies.
Mr. Wu earned a bachelor’s degree (concentration in finance and accounting) from the University of Miami. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Turnaround Management Association and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
