Richard Hendry

With more than 30 years of financial industry and regulatory experience, including as a National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Mr. Hendry has a thorough understanding of risk management founded in Basel Accord principles focused enhancing the strategic and tactical goals of financial institutions.
Mr. Hendry has worked with various types of financial institutions and has bridged public sector experience in compliance to private sector work in operational risk, with senior accountability.
Mr. Hendry has experience in implementing governance, risk and compliance management technology.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Hendry worked with RBS Citizens Financial Group Consumer Banking as Senior Vice President and Director for Risk Management. In this position, Mr. Hendry implemented enhanced risk management requirements while maintaining close alignment to strategic and tactical goals. Mr. Hendry was responsible for risk management and risk program development, for high-volume advertising materials; one-to-one marketing; online content; security for data in a very large customer information database; marketing target model compliance risk; and third-party risk management.
Previously, Mr. Hendry was responsible for reorganizing a centralized risk operations unit that performed monitoring and testing functions, reducing costs and gaining efficiency in all aspects of risk management, including anti-money laundering and sanctions programs. Empowerment is a key element in Mr. Hendry’s risk management consulting, often achieved by liberating highly expert employees to do their best work.
Mr. Hendry earned a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in English literature and a paralegal certificate from San Francisco State University.
