Richard Cotterill

With more than 15 years of corporate finance experience, Mr. Cotterill has advised a variety of clients in respect of disposals, acquisitions, capital raising, partnerships, and structuring across the energy sector.
Mr. Cotterill has advised across a broad spectrum of energy transactions, covering the energy transition, renewable generation assets, and energy services. His notable transactions include supporting Octopus Energy and its shareholders in raising $1.2 billion at a valuation of $9 billion, advising OX2 on 15 GW of offshore wind development partnerships with Ingka Investments—an arm of the biggest IKEA retailer—and advising the shareholders of Full Circle Wind Services to Renew Holdings plc.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Cotterill spent 17 years with KPMG, where he most recently served as a Partner in the Energy Corporate Finance team.
Mr. Cotterill has previously been a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), having become exam qualified with first-time passes in 2012. He also holds an Accounting Technician Diploma from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
