Renzo Renting
Mr. Renting works with large and medium-sized organizations to improve the value delivered by finance functions. He has experience with multinational and domestic companies across a range of sectors, including power and utilities, retail, logistics, higher education, and healthcare.
Mr. Renting’s notable engagements include leading the finance transformation of a large Australian utility after it moved from government to private ownership. This involved redesigning and implementing the operating model, and significantly and sustainably reducing costs, while improving the quality of finance outputs.
Mr. Renting’s other notable experiences include the design and stand-up of a finance function for a new organization tasked with developing and operating an A$3+ billion asset as part of a carve-out. He has developed shared services strategies and designs as part of broader cost-out projects and in standalone settings. Additionally, Mr. Renting has undertaken a variety of working capital improvement projects, including leading a collections improvement project with a midsized organization that reduced outstanding receivables by A$20+ million.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Renting was a Director in EY’s Finance Consulting practice in both the Netherlands and Australia. Previously, he was a naval officer in the Dutch armed forces and was deployed to present-day South Sudan as a military observer for the United Nations.
Mr. Renting earned a master’s degree in accounting and control from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and an executive postgraduate master’s degree in finance and control from the School of Business and Economics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Register Controllers.
