Rachel Sexton is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Restructuring in London. With over 15 years of experience, her primary area of concentration is offshore and contentious insolvency. Ms. Sexton has experience of insolvency regimes in multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Guernsey, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Antigua, Anguilla and Ireland.

Most recently at A&M, Ms. Sexton has been responsible for leading the complex asset recovery and investigation workstreams in the liquidation of an international construction group with a turnover of $1+ billion.

Previously, Ms. Sexton was involved in the administration of a holding company for an international mining group with debts of $2.4+ billion involved in significant litigation and arbitration.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Sexton worked for a boutique insolvency firm in the British Virgin Islands, where she was involved in a number of high-profile Caribbean and international insolvencies involving asset tracing and significant multi-jurisdictional litigation. An Irish national, Ms. Sexton trained in the restructuring team of a Big Four firm in Dublin.

Ms. Sexton earned a bachelor’s degree in business and law from University College Dublin. She is a Chartered Accountant and a corporate Insolvency Practitioner licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).
