Prashant Kumar
Mr. Kumar specializes in corporate strategy, large-scale business transformation, and operations improvement. His primary areas of concentration include supply chain and logistics optimization, program management, commercial excellence, procurement transformation, and financial performance enhancement.
With more than 16 years of strategy and operational leadership experience, Mr. Kumar has supported clients in India, the UK, and the Middle East on strategy design and commercial excellence. Furthermore, he has delivered enterprise-wide operational turnaround initiatives and managed multimillion-dollar profit and loss portfolios. He has executed more than 60 consulting mandates and supported clients across the infrastructure, logistics, industrials, and metals sectors.
Mr. Kumar’s notable assignments include leading a logistics and supply chain restructuring program for a major UK-based steel producer; conducting commercial diligences for logistics, warehousing, industrial services, and shipyard maintenance, repair, and overhaul providers; and leading a nine-month interim commercial excellence program for a 250-acre multi-modal logistics park. He has also supported sovereign funds in diligence for diversified industrial and logistics platforms, and he was responsible for developing and implementing a dispatch transformation for a global steel manufacturer scaling from around 7 to 14 million metric tons.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Kumar spent over three years with Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone in India, where he most recently served as an Associate General Manager. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at Ecorys India and founded his own consulting firm, delivering projects funded by multilateral agencies and government departments across transport, public–private partnerships, and infrastructure development.
Mr. Kumar earned a bachelor’s degree in planning from the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, and an MBA in finance (Gold Medalist) from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila.
