Besides several C-roles, Mr. Platsch has managed and advised on a number of performance improvement and operational excellence projects, M&A transactions including due diligence processes and post-merger integration roles, business process outsourcing and corporate restructuring cases. He has worked across Europe as well as in the US, mainly serving clients in the industrial and manufacturing sector.
Most recently Mr. Platsch was appointed CFO/CRO for an international injection moulding company located in Austria serving the automotive and packaging industry. Prior to this engagement Mr. Platsch has acted as interim Country Manager Germany for a global self-adhesive films manufacturer where he has been tasked to transform the German subsidiary to a pure sales organization, including headcount reduction, process optimization and top line growth.
Further engagements include roles as Chief Integration Officer for a European insulation material manufacturer, leading a carve-out and post-merger integration process for five manufacturing sites, interim Head of Operations for a tier one automotive supplier overseeing three plants in all operating issue, CRO and PMO lead for a Tier-2 automotive LED and actuator supplier as well as CRO for a Hungarian chemical company, specializing in the production and processing of plastic raw materials and isocyanides. He also served as interim manager and trusted advisor in cross-border head count reduction and change management programs, negotiating social plans with workers councils and union representatives.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Platsch spent over 11 years in the aerospace and renewable energy sector. He spent 7 years with Fairchild Dornier GmbH, a regional aircraft manufacturer, airbus component supplier and MRO service provider, where he served as Vice President Procurement and Service Contracts and Deputy General Counsel. He was globally responsible for coordinating the supplier base for aircraft components and general procurement, including the negotiation of all procurement and service contracts. As Deputy General Counsel, he was responsible in-house counsel for all corporate law aspects in connection with the acquisition of the Fairchild Dornier Group by two major Private Equity funds, including subsequent funding of the group via leverage financing through several shareholder levels.
Mr. Platsch earned a master’s of laws degree in M&A (LL.M.) and a university degree as an attorney-at-law from the University of Munich in Germany. Mr. Platsch is also a member of the German bar. A German national, he is fluent in German and English.
