Pablo Blanco

Mr. Blanco’s notable assignments include managing projects in Spain, Latin America, Portugal, Germany and the U.K. He has worked across a range of industries, including services, manufacturing, construction and rental machinery.
Most recently at A&M, Mr. Blanco served as interim Chief Executive Officer for a private equity portfolio company, where he defined and implemented a profound turnaround plan. He also served as Chief Restructuring Officer for the Spanish business unit of a multinational service company.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Blanco served as CEO of SRW Schwarzwälder Röhrenwerk GmbH, where he executed a thoughtful restructuring plan. Additionally, he founded and led Phoenix Recovery Management, where he spent six years managing the debt and equity stakes of the largest Spanish Banks (Banco Santander, Caixabank, BBVA and Banc Sabadell) in operating companies acquired through debt-to-equity conversions. As banks acquired majority equity stakes, Mr. Blanco served as board member and legal administrator in all portfolio companies. He also assumed an interim CEO role with CONDESA Tubos and Bodegas Chivite to ensure the first-hand implementation of turnaround plans.
Previously, Mr. Blanco spent over nine years with Prosegur, where he most recently served as CEO of the Alarms & Technology business, conducting a major transformation. Prior to that, he served as global Director of Corporate Strategy & Development. Mr. Blanco began his career as a management consultant with McKinsey&Co in their Corporate Finance & Strategy practice and was also a lawyer with Uria & Menendez Abogados.
Mr. Blanco earned a bachelor’s degree in law and a BBA from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICADE (valedictorian) and an MBA from London Business School. He has spent 14 years as the Assistant Professor of Strategy and International Business at ICADE; served as Senior Advisor of PE funds; and is a board member of several companies in Spain.
