Omar Mata

Mr. Mata brings deep experience in optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of finance and accounting functions. He advises companies on how to improve their performance through improved forecasting capabilities, process automation, technology integration, acceleration of close and consolidation processes, and improved reporting for decision-making.
Mr. Mata’s notable assignments include: leading the FP&A transformation of a global retailer by implementing new processes, technologies and change management; managing the finance and accounting transformation of a multi-billion company; overseeing the global finance shared services design and implementation of a multi-billion dollar retail and communications company; managing the CFO strategy and roadmap execution for a leading private retailer; providing a predictive forecasting model implementation for a large technology and banking firm.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Mata spent 15 years at Deloitte Consulting U.S., where he was a Partner for the last six years. One of his most significant achievements during this time was creating and leading the Finance Transformation practice in South America. Previously, he was also a Director of Finance at a Fortune 10 organization.
Mr. Mata earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from ITESM - Monterrey Tech and an MBA from Texas Christian University, with a concentration in international finance.
