Olivier Duval

With more than 25 years of experience in senior positions in both the metal industry and management consulting roles, Mr. Duval focuses on lean manufacturing, supply chain improvement, purchasing, business transformation, turnarounds and mergers.
Mr. Duval works with clients in the process industries, particularly steel, aluminum, cement and glass, as well as in the chemical, agrochemical and construction materials industries.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Duval served as COO/CRO of Ascometal, where he led a cost reduction program and a major transformation of the supply chain. Prior to that, he served as CEO of a specialized producer of specialized building material producer.
In his management consulting roles, Mr. Duval served as Partner at Bain & Company and as Vice President at Mercer Oliver Wyman. A notable consulting project was managing the transformation of a large glassware producer, including the review and redesign of the industrial footprint, a large cost reduction plan, the divestment of non-core activities and repositioning the brands.
Mr. Duval earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris (ENSMP) and an MBA from INSEAD. A French national, he is fluent in French and English and has a working knowledge of Portuguese and German.
