Nikki Coles is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Disputes & Investigations in London. She brings over 20 years of experience in accounting, dispute resolution and financial investigations. Her primary areas of concentration are accounting evidence in international arbitration, litigation and regulatory proceedings. Ms. Coles has worked across a range of industries, including financial services, shipping, manufacturing, oil and gas, retail, hotels and leisure.

Most recently at A&M, Ms. Coles was involved in a dispute regarding the buy-out price for a shareholding in a retail company; two post-acquisition disputes, relating to an oil and gas company and a refining business; and a dispute regarding the financing of a joint venture. 

Previously, Ms. Coles was involved in financial fraud investigations, suspected financial statement manipulation, asset tracing and alleged trustee and auditor negligence. 

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Coles worked with Deloitte and AlixPartners. She also undertook a secondment to the Financial Services Authority in the U.K., where she was involved in enforcement policy work. 

Ms. Coles earned a bachelor’s degree in law from King’s College London. She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and was recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a future leader in arbitration.
