Mr. Barbini has particular expertise in developing and executing value creation plans, project management, assessing a company's key financial and operational business drivers, establishing the quality and sustainability of forecast earnings and cash flows, and determining potential changes in a company's working capital and funding requirements. He has worked with clients in numerous cross-border projects and across a range of industries including education, retail, consumer, healthcare, business services and industrials.
Mr. Barbini’s notable assignments at A&M include leading engagements on behalf of several private equity firms including KKR, Permira, Advent, Platinum, Warburg Pincus, Bridgepoint, Stirling Square, Paine & Schwartz, TA Associates, Tikehau, CBPE and BlueGem.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Barbini served at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in London, where he executed debt financing for leveraged buyout transactions backed by private equity sponsors such as CD&R, Cinven and Warburg Pincus. Mr. Barbini was also involved in developing the U.K. government's Asset Protection Scheme, in which he valued the bank's leveraged loan portfolio under different distress scenarios.
Previously, Mr. Barbini served on the Transaction Services team at PwC in London, where he most recently served as a Manager. In this role, he provided due diligence services to a number of large private equity sponsors including Blackstone, Bain Capital, IK Investment Partners and Macquarie.
Mr. Barbini earned a master's degree in business administration (with honors) from the University of Ancona in Italy. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. Mr. Barbini is an Italian and British national.
