Nicholas Carnrite is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Energy in Houston. 

Mr. Carnrite’s primary areas of concentration are business transformation, cash-flow enhancement, M&A integration, operating model design, and the design and implementation of corporate, business unit, and product strategies.

Mr. Carnrite has advised clients across all segments of the energy value chain, including integrated energy companies, national oil companies, independent exploration and production companies, oilfield services and equipment companies, and private equity-owned portfolio companies throughout the sector.

Most notably, Mr. Carnrite led or advised on integration planning and execution for three separate US exploration and production (E&P) transactions with a total value of $10+ billion, co-led the stand-up of a joint venture in the North Sea, served as one of the leaders of an enterprise-wide business transformation and cash-flow enhancement effort, and partnered with multiple E&P leadership teams to reevaluate corporate strategies.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Carnrite spent 11 years with Carnrite Group, a boutique management consulting firm focused on the energy sector. He held roles in Houston and London, serving most recently as Managing Director for Europe and the Middle East. He established the firm’s London and Dubai offices, its first outside the US, and was accountable for building relationships, originating opportunities, and overseeing project delivery. Mr. Carnrite also led Carnrite Group’s business development team, which was responsible for new client origination across all energy segments, service offerings, and geographies, and spent 10 years delivering consulting engagement globally.

Mr. Carnrite earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Houston.
