Nicholas Carnrite is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal U.S. Energy in Houston. His primary areas of concentration are corporate strategy, business transformation, cost takeout, merger and acquisition integration, organization design, and the design and implementation of sustainability and energy transition strategies.

Mr. Carnrite has worked with clients from various industries, including integrated oil companies (IOCs), national oil companies (NOCs), independent exploration and production companies (E&P), oilfield services companies (OFS), mining companies, and private equity owned portfolio companies in a variety of sectors.

Most recently, Mr. Carnrite provided oversight and leadership for the design of a sustainability strategy prior to an initial public offering (IPO). He also advised on the formation of a growth strategy for a global oilfield services company and the expansion of a partnership with a leading carbon management software company.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Carnrite spent 11 years with The Carnrite Group in Houston and London, serving most recently as Managing Director, Europe, and Middle East. He established The Carnrite Group’s London and Dubai offices, their first outside the United States, and was accountable for building relationships, originating opportunities, and overseeing the firm’s international consulting projects.

Previously, Mr. Carnrite led The Carnrite Group’s Global Business Development team, which was responsible for new client entry across all sectors, service offerings and geographies.

Mr. Carnrite earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of Houston.
