Neha Mahindru is a Senior Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax in Singapore. She specializes in leading strategic initiatives to modernize and streamline an organization’s tax function using technology, data, and process improvements. Her primary areas of focus are tax process optimization, tax data management, indirect tax technology deployment, and e-invoicing solutions.

With 20 years of indirect tax advisory and tax technology experience, Ms. Mahindru has a unique blend of technical indirect tax knowledge and innovative technology implementation and advisory experience. Within the technology sector, she worked with a leading global tax software vendor, where she led end-to-end solution deployments and helped clients streamline their indirect tax compliance and reporting processes through automation and data-driven insights. Prior to this, Ms. Mahindru’s career spanned various roles at Big 4 firms, where she specialized in indirect tax advisory and compliance for large multinational clients across industries.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Mahindru spent over two years with KPMG in Singapore, where she served as Director. She has extensive experience in assessing and redesigning tax processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, including data management and implementing automation and other solutions to reduce manual effort and risk. Her most notable project entailed advising a global financial services institution on how to achieve a standardized, streamlined, and technology-enabled global goods and services tax (GST) and value added tax (VAT) operating model, considering the compliance obligations across jurisdictions.

Ms. Mahindru earned a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, and computing from Monash University in Melbourne, and an LLM from the University of Melbourne.
