Nate Brewer is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal’s Public Sector Services in Washington, D.C. He specializes in delivering organizational transformation, technology strategy, business process improvement and vendor strategy engagements to public sector clients at the federal, state and local levels.

With more than 25 years of consulting and leadership experience in the public and private sectors, Mr. Brewer has dedicated his career to solving organizations’ toughest business and technology-related challenges. He has helped numerous organizations navigate large-scale reorganizations, develop new organization-wide technology strategies and operating models, develop new technology products and drive sustained organization-wide change initiatives.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Brewer spent nearly seven years with McKinsey & Company, most recently serving as a Partner in their Digital and Public Sector practices in Washington, D.C., where he led technology strategy and digital transformation engagements across the public sector.

Previously, Mr. Brewer spent 18 years in a variety of leadership roles at Sapient (now Publicis Sapient), playing a pivotal leadership role in the development and growth of their public and social sector practices.

Mr. Brewer earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Vanderbilt University, a master’s degree in engineering and technology management from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He is a certified Project Management Professional® and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. Mr. Brewer is an active volunteer in Scouting USA (formerly Boy Scouts of America) and focuses on mentoring Scouts seeking to earn the Eagle Scout rank. Consulting magazine named Mr. Brewer as a Top 25 consultant in 2015.
