Mike Baxter

With more than 14 years of consulting and corporate transaction experience, Mr. Baxter specializes in identifying and assessing financial risk areas; quantifying items that directly impact transaction valuation; solving for complex deal and business concerns; and analyzing KPIs.
Mr. Baxter has advised on multiple transactions within Canada and the U.S., Europe, and Africa, contributing to 100+ domestic and cross-border transactions. Most notably, he has advised on transactions in waste management and environmental services, technology (software as a service and consulting), engineering and other services, payment processing, manufacturing, and distribution.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Baxter was with the Transaction Services group of KPMG in Toronto. Previously, he spent over six years with a listed IT group in Johannesburg, supporting the in-house corporate finance function (transaction focused), among other capacities. Prior to this, Mr. Baxter was with the Transaction Services group of PwC in Johannesburg.
Mr. Baxter earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and Chartered Public Accountant (Ontario, Canada) designations.
