Maureen O’Shea is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Private Equity Performance Improvement in London. She brings over 28 years of experience in supply chain, operations, and business-led transformation.

Ms. O’Shea’s primary areas of focus are cost transformation and value creation, supply chain and network strategy, operating model design, planning and inventory optimization, carve-out and separation, manufacturing optimization, digital enablement, and supply chain sustainability. She has worked with clients across a range of industries, including life sciences, healthcare, consumer products, retail, food and beverage, industrials, and technology.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. O’Shea spent four years with Baringa in London, where she most recently served as Practice Lead, Supply Chain & Sustainable Supply Chain. She built and led the practice on a model of small, senior teams with a relentless focus on tangible results and impact that lasts. Her notable assignments in this role include a 72-scenario digital twin which informed board-level warehouse configuration decisions for a private equity–backed pharma business; a US network design program securing $20 million in annual savings for a $9 billion animal health company; a carve-out and transition services agreement preparation for a divisional spin-out from a major fast-moving consumer goods company; a planning transformation that halved inventory for an industrial client; warehouse and logistics optimization, delivering savings at 16x fees; and the design and deployment of a carbon-focused supplier management system for a leading toy company. Ms. O’Shea also oversaw the firm’s pro bono portfolio for three years. Previously, she was Lead Partner for the UK Supply Chain & Operations Consulting practice at KPMG and an Associate Partner at EY.

Earlier in her career, Ms. O’Shea spent 20 years as an industry executive with Merck GmbH and Procter & Gamble. As Senior Director, Global Biotech Product Supply at Merck GmbH in Switzerland, she led a $4 billion biotech portfolio through deep transformation. In this role, Ms. O’Shea held customer service above 99.9% through major supply challenges while right-sizing inventory; delivered the business’s first major launch in a decade within 24 hours of US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval; enabled a 500% volume ramp-up with perfect service; and acted as sell-side due diligence supply chain lead for the Pfizer joint venture on Bavencio[MO2] . Ms. O’Shea held multiple senior roles in Ireland, Barcelona and Madrid during her 16 years at Procter & Gamble, spanning manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain design and management.

Ms. O’Shea earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from University College Dublin. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT) and an Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC)–qualified executive coach. An Irish national, Ms. O’Shea is fluent in English with a working knowledge of Spanish.
