Matthew Oliver

With more than 15 years of experience in public accounting focused on taxation, Mr. Oliver has consulted with business enterprises on M&A transactions, expanded client relationships to implement long-term tax planning strategies, and served as a subject matter expert in partnership taxation.
Notably, Mr. Oliver was responsible for implementing a partnership freeze transaction for a hedge fund manager, freezing asset values under an S corporation, and triggering self-employment income characteristics. The self-employment income created a net tax benefit by qualifying as research expenses for R&D credit purposes. Mr. Oliver has worked with clients across various industries, including financial services, hospitality, medical diagnostics, and furniture wholesalers.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Oliver spent 11 years with EisnerAmper in West Palm Beach, where he most notably served as Senior Manager for Private Client Services. He helped integrate old business processes and system data for the tax practice into newly deployed enterprise resource planning software. His contributions were personally recognized by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the firm.
Mr. Oliver earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in taxation from Florida Atlantic University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
