He has advised multinational companies on income tax matters including tax planning, complex business transactions, compliance, financial reporting matters, as well as cost segregation studies. In addition to experience in ASC 740 (accounting for income taxes), he has experience in assisting companies with tax department performance improvement and operations.
Mr. Young has served clients in a variety of industries, including energy, manufacturing, banking, healthcare, insurance and aviation, including significant experience working with private equity funds and their portfolio company investments.
Before joining A&M, he was with the industry service group and federal tax practice of PricewaterhouseCooper in Houston. Previously, he worked in both Ernst & Young’s Dallas office and its national tax department in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Young earned his bachelor’s degree in business, with a concentration in finance, from Washington University in St. Louis. He also earned a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Texas.
He regularly speaks at Tax Executives Institute (TEI) and to other industry and tax organizations.
