India’s global capability centres are powering a leadership hiring surge as they rapidly shed their back-office image and emerge as strategic nerve centres. As enterprises shift more global mandates in product, engineering, data, AI, cybersecurity and digital operations to India, demand for senior leaders has accelerated, experts and companies said.
Leadership roles at GCCs are estimated to have grown from 6,500 in end-2024 to 8,500 by end-2025 and are projected to see another 40% jump by end-2026, according to research from ANSR, a leading player helping set up GCCs in India
Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced the appointment of Sanjeev Narsipur as Managing Director with its Global Capability Center (GCC) in India. Based in Bengaluru, Mr. Narsipur will lead digital and technology strategy efforts for A&M’s clients globally, with a focus on scaling AI-led enterprise reinvention.
Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are becoming essential for boosting profitability, competitiveness, agility, and innovation. By internalizing key operations, companies not only reduce costs but also gain direct control over core business functions, thereby driving long-term value and fostering innovation.
A&M's Global Capability center is a newly launched platform that aims to create a global talent ecosystem for the firm to drive scale, frugal innovation, rapid incubation and efficient commercialization. We are a delivery center integrated into our A&M ecosystem, functioning as an extended team alongside our engagement teams worldwide.
