Lukas Krahe
Before joining A&M, Mr. Krahé spent four years at private equity firm AEQUITA as a Director. In this role, he held key positions, such as CEO, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Restructuring Officer, managing various portfolio companies. Most notably, he was CEO of a bus manufacturer, leading it through the carve-out from Daimler into a successful standalone business and the subsequent exit process. Prior to AEQUITA, he worked for over five years at EY in Düsseldorf, most recently as Partner in Strategy and Transactions. His work focused on the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and automotive industries, where he led various global carve-out and integration projects. He also led the finance integration practice for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Earlier in his career, Mr. Krahé spent over five years at Vion Food Group/Lutz Convenience Food, where he was a member of the management team and served as Head of the Controlling Department under private equity after divestment.
Mr. Krahé’s notable projects include advising BASF on a €1.1 billion business unit carve-out, leading the carve-out team, and overseeing the preparation of financial factbooks, due diligence, and the complete separation to ensure operational independence from the parent company. He also advised Boehringer Ingelheim on the asset swap with Sanofi, developing the Day 1 business models, validating financial readiness, implementing interim and target management reporting systems, and rolling out planning processes across 27 countries. He advised another DAX30 chemical company on design and implementation of comprehensive frameworks and tailored training programs to streamline M&A activities and enhance expertise across teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency. Mr. Krahé led various other high-impact projects, including transformation of financial functions, post-merger integrations, carve-outs, due diligence, project and change management, and restructuring and company closures tailored to the unique challenges of the chemical, pharmaceutical, and automotive sectors.
Mr. Krahé earned a bachelor’s degree in business studies and a master’s degree in financial management from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and a certificate in M&A and corporate strategy from INSEAD, France.
