Louise Jenkins is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax, LLP in London. She heads the Reward and Employment Tax team. Ms. Jenkins brings over 25 years of experience advising companies on a range of employment-related tax issues, including the design and implementation of equity incentive plans, particularly the development of tax efficient, performance-driven long-term incentive plans for senior executives.

Ms. Jenkins has extensive experience with all types of U.K. and international equity incentive plans, including HMRC-approved and unapproved plans (growth shares, jointly owned arrangements, unapproved options, etc.). Her team advises clients on domestic and international employment taxes and social security, and compliance and advisory matters including off-payroll working (IR35), HMRC enquiries and audits, setting up payroll processes and procedures and all other employment-related tax issues.

Ms. Jenkins has worked across all sectors and with clients ranging from FTSE 250, AIM, international groups, start-ups, private equity backed companies and privately owned managed businesses.

On the transaction side, Ms. Jenkins advises clients on implementing and operating their management equity incentive plans and supports shareholders/management teams through the transaction process. She has worked on complex transactions for both vendors and purchasers, including multiple jurisdiction management equity incentive plans.

Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Jenkins worked with FTI consulting; prior to that, she led KPMG’s Reward practice in the South region. Previously she worked with Ernst & Young, Smith & Williamson, and Andersen.

A U.K. National, Ms. Jenkins is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA).
