Louisa Yeo

With over 23 years of corporate and international tax experience, Ms. Yeo has spent time in the Big Four and has acted as the COO of a Singapore subsidiary of a Korean investment bank to set up its funds and fund management operations. Her scope of activities on the buy side encompassed tax, legal, finance, compliance, and HR. Given the growth of the asset management sector in Singapore, she has worked with the Big Four on: advising clients on fund and fund management operation setup, including of Singapore variable capital companies and carry structures; and inbound and outbound investment and holding structures.
Ms. Yeo’s notable assignments include a broad mix of traditional and alternative investment funds. She has supported many leading industry names with real estate fund management operations in Singapore. She has also worked with clients across various industries in the financial services sector, from banking and capital markets to trustee and corporate services.
Prior to joining A&M, Ms. Yeo spent eight years with EY’s Financial Services Tax team in Singapore, where she most recently served as Partner. During her tenure, she was actively involved in growing the size and business of the Financial Services Tax team by expanding service lines offered: to provide transaction tax support to the Financial Due Diligence teams focused on financial institution mergers and acquisitions, and tax structuring support for private equity client acquisitions. She also liaised with various authorities in Singapore to enhance the attractiveness of Singapore’s asset management sector. Ms. Yeo was responsible for onboarding new key clients, and she was instrumental in growing the firm’s Asset Management practice.
Ms. Yeo earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and a master’s degree in international tax from the University of Melbourne. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant of Singapore and an Accredited Tax Practitioner with the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals.
